Power of Change
Meilena — Wed, 02/27/2008 - 16:14
Life changes. Nature changes. All things go through this process of metamorphosis, where we begin as one thing and transform into another. We constantly go through cycles and levels of awareness.
Leaving Behind Loss
Meilena — Thu, 09/28/2006 - 20:00
When the quiet moments come upon us, we take that time to reflect on what we lost along the way. Lost loves, friendships, and maybe even relatives may come to mind. Along with those thoughts may we also be reminded of the reasons why their presence may have been removed. Sometimes we experienced physical passing of the being in thought and other times we experience simple distance. Either way, our loss along the way was for good reason. We may not comprehend the meaning at that period in our lives, but with time, we will gain a spiritual explanation.
Family Concepts
Meilena — Sun, 07/30/2006 - 18:26
What family is to one person is not what family is to another. We each derive our concepts of what family means to us based on our experiences and motivations. What is even more interesting is that these concepts change as we grow older.
We either grow out of our family foundations or build on top of them. We initiate what patterns to continue and what structures to recreate. Truth is that what we start out with as children may not be what we choose to have as adults. Loved ones may come and go in our lives as we make changes and progress towards new beginnings.

Spiritual Identification
Meilena — Thu, 01/20/2005 - 05:48
There are so many differences in our world. Our cultures are different. Our languages are different. And our beliefs are different. We come in different shapes and sizes. We each have personal differences and ideals that allow us to identify who we are and what we contribute to our societal makeup. Each one of us is an intricate part of the whole.
Our differences allow us to complete all the functions that are required for our world to run smoothly. However these differences are not always applauded for their greatness. Instead they are used to continue our separation.
My Personal Update
Meilena — Thu, 01/13/2005 - 06:54
Well the last few months have been quite busy, but it has really been worth it. We transferred all of our sites to our own semi-dedicated server now. Still have a few glitches to work out, but overall all the sites are running a lot faster and they are accommodating all the traffic we are getting.
I have been working on my book for the last two and half months. I am in the editing stage right now, but expect to have it published or in the process of being published by the end of the month. I am very excited about it. I'll be sure to upload the book cover when I get it finished.
Accepting A Life Of Simplicity
Meilena — Sat, 11/06/2004 - 11:08
Once we discover our purpose we then have to make a commitment to pursue that purpose. Often we discover that our lifestyles will be altered once that commitment is made. Perhaps we have to live with less. We are then challenged to redefine our basic needs verses wants.
Some people never assess their primary needs. They continue to pursue their “wantsâ€. If people really assessed their primary needs and concerns they may realize that putting in that overtime at work wasn’t really necessary. They could have put in some overtime with their family or loved ones instead. Or they could have put some overtime in on doing something they really loved to do. Material items do not replace time.
