Hailstorm/rainbow!!!!
Submitted by artistcbrown on Thu, 04/12/2007 - 14:01BLASTERING and CATACLYSMIC shrieking, thundering lightning tearing relentlessly through the air hysterically and cutting and butchering the HOWLING ATMOSPHERE like wind driven hailstones!!! Burning your frozen flesh; and tearing, stinging wet drenching torrentially pouring storm warning so renewed and fresh!!!!
Ressurrection
Submitted by artistcbrown on Sun, 04/08/2007 - 17:07As we celebrate Ressurrection
we all know it exists around us.
Seeds sprout , grass grows-
Babies born people die and
the earth it turns. There is
no doubt that this form we
take here and now is but a
vehicle to achieve a higher goal
in this life before we are
transformed into a higher
consciousness heretofore
unknown!!! I remember this
holiday All those I got to share
Newest art sale!!!!!!!!!
Submitted by artistcbrown on Sat, 03/31/2007 - 02:472 years ago a patron in local Blues Club Mansion Hill Tavern saw a painting that I had done of the place and suggested I show it to the owner because he was sure to buy it, and if he didn’t then the patron would. A week later the owner saw it but passed it up, and the patron suddenly found out he had cancer and died soon there after.

New to Silence Speaks...
Submitted by NoraBlansett on Tue, 01/30/2007 - 17:41I just found this website today and I thought I would join. I'm new to the internet art world and my own website has only been posted for seven months. I suppose that's time to have figured out some things, but I'm still trying to find my way through ebay, selling through the website, understanding how to use websites like paypal...
I'm hoping that by joining sites like this one, I can better understand the best ways to sell on the net internationally, make some friends in the art world, and just generally make a nuisance of myself.
In Everything Beautiful, Honoring Those We've Lost
Submitted by Mid on Fri, 01/26/2007 - 17:12I see your reflection in everything
beautiful, hear the wind sigh your
name when thoughts of you hold me.
I feel you enfold me, embracing,
protecting, reassuring me life will
get better somehow. Still, I want
you here now.
You were the song I sang in the
mornings when the sun chased the
moonbeams across your face.
You were the rhapsody I heard
in the evenings, until the stars
shushed our hearts to sleep.
I danced through each day gathering
lyrics with every whisper of your
name, and the song became my reason
for being until the day
you were called away.
My prayers surrounded you, but God's
will was higher. Darkness descended
...you never returned.
It was hard to accept you were not
mine alone. You tried to tell me
you were a servant, but instead
of listening, I tried to hang on.
Now today you are honored by the
lives you've touched, by giving
your own so unselfishly. And when
I think of all who are thankful
for the ultimate sacrifice you made,
I see your reflection in everything
beautiful, and hear your song
...when the wind sighs your name.

The Flatpack Observer (a tale) part 10
Submitted by savage_cushions on Tue, 01/23/2007 - 12:0111.51
The applause from the Parakeet car-park finally abated. Hettie looked at her watch,
‘A six minute ovation! The Mayor must have really pulled out the stops this year!’
‘Hedley does make a lovely speech’ Lettie added
‘He’s a good speaker, I’ll grant you that, there aren’t many who could captivate an audience with a parsnip story’
’Oh yes! The parsnip story – I must have heard it …ooh… twenty times, and it still makes me laugh!
The Flatpack Observer (a tale) part 9
Submitted by savage_cushions on Fri, 01/19/2007 - 12:04'An extended family of clouds?!' Lettie laughed, 'that's fanciful even for you Henrietta!'
'Oh! I'm being fanciful am I? Well, Little Sister, maybe you will be less likely to scoff after you hear what happened to me last night...
I was just getting ready for bed when there was an urgent rapping on the front door.
'Funny', I thought, so I opened it very cautiously, and who should I find on the step looking as white as a sheet?…Maisie Wittering!
